Fabregas celebrates his goal

“Great start by Arsenal, dominating the early proceeding’s” said the commentator on ITV4. Guess what? he certainly wasn’t lying, what was to come was some first class football.

Here’s the Brief Match Report (Due to Work Commitments) To see a more detailed report visit BBC Sport:

First Half:

It was all Arsenal in the first half with Cesc Fabregas pulling the strings in the middle of the park,

Emmanuel Adebayor was leading the line well and was found often coming out wide picking up the ball and running at AC Milan’s defence. In the middle of the match he did this brilliantly, moving past his opponents; Nesta and Oddo and squaring it to Cesc Fabregas on the edge of the area, Fabregas hitting a scorching strike which hit the bar with Kalac stranded.

This was a sure sign of things to come for as Arsenal outplayed Milan in the first half and looked more like the home team, with Arsenal showing a pass and move masterclass. Milan where restricted to only a couple of chances first chance was a run from Pato beating three players but then firing wide then a corner from Andrea Pirlo which deflected off Adebayor but was cleared off the line by a combination of Fabregas and Almunia.

Half Time and The Gunners looking good.

Second Half:

The second half started superbly for Arsenal. Chances that The Gunners probably could of put away, Phillipe Senderos came close with a weak strike straight at Kalac, while Emmanuel Eboue was guilty of a missed opportunity.

Then, Walcott came on for Eboue, the game changed, straight away you could feel a goal. Cesc Fabregas went on a mazy run past 4 Milan players, then he struck the shot… it was in! Every Gooner went mental, it was no more than the Gunners deserved, was there more to come?

Indeed there was, Theo Walcott bursted past 2 defenders with his blistering pace and laid the ball off to Emmanuel Adebayor who made no mistake of ending any Milan comeback hopes.

Full Time, what a result, a dominating performance from a side who’s recent performances have been below par.

A little note for Arsenal’s critics - Shuv this result up your arse!
